Most dogs aren't hyper. They were never taught how to switch off.
Your dog spends about an hour a day on a walk. The Calm Dog Blueprint™ is about the other twenty-three — at home, on the lead, at the door, when you leave. Four documents, twenty-one days, about twenty minutes a day.

You've been told the answer is more exercise. It's been making it worse.
It's the standard advice for a mad dog. Add a second walk. Buy a ball launcher. Run them until they're staggering. And for about forty minutes it works — then the dog is back up, and worse, and now needs even more to reach the same point.
Physical tiredness and mental calm are completely different things. A dog can be exhausted and still unable to settle — which is the state most “hyper” dogs are actually living in.
Chronic over-arousal
High-arousal exercise is practice at being aroused. You build a fitter athlete with a higher ceiling — and a dog who's spent an hour rehearsing intensity.
Sleep debt
Adults need twelve to sixteen hours a day, puppies closer to twenty. A dog on fragmented sleep is irritable, over-reactive and unable to concentrate — exactly like a person.
No structure
Dogs settle by knowing what happens next. With no shape to the day, they can never stand down — so they stay on, watching the door, watching you.
Accidental training
Berserk at the door and the door opens. Jumping gets contact and eye contact. Nobody means to teach it, and every house does.
Put them together and the picture changes. You don't have a bad dog, a stupid dog, or a dog who needs putting in their place. You have a dog who is over-aroused, under-rested, under-structured and accidentally rewarded for the exact behaviour you don't want.
Every one of those is fixable. That's the Blueprint.
Four documents. One system.
Nothing in here is the watered-down owner version. There is nothing in the Blueprint that a Larne walker doesn't use with dogs every week.

The Guide
36 pages · Parts 0–9
The full system — why your dog isn't calm yet, the four foundations, the calm home, calm on the lead, the regulation toolkit, and honest troubleshooting that tells you exactly when to stop working alone.
The Workbook
Printable · 8 pages
You write down where you started on day one, and you don’t look at it again until day fourteen. That page is where most owners get their moment.
The 21-Day Calm Dog Plan
Day by day · tickable
Three weeks. Conditions, then skills, then real life. About twenty minutes a day, most of it in four-second pieces. Built for people with jobs.
The Calm Tracker
Thirty seconds a day
Five marks a day. Our walkers write a report after every session, because change in a dog is too gradual to see while you’re living in it. This is that, for home.
How the twenty-one days are shaped
Week 1
Conditions
Structure and decompression. You set the home up and barely train anything — and most owners see a change anyway.
Week 2
Skills
Regulation proper. Mat work, the settle on cue, and deliberate practice at coming back down after a spike.
Week 3
Real life
Generalising. The front door, visitors, other rooms, out and about — where a dog calm in a quiet room becomes a dog calm in your life.

What this isn't — and we'd rather say it here than on page one
The Blueprint is not a fix for every problem a dog can have. Serious reactivity, real separation distress, guarding behaviour with teeth involved, or anything with a bite history sits outside what any guide should try to handle in writing. Those need eyes on the dog.
Part 6 tells you exactly where that line is and who to bring in — and we've been specific about it rather than vague, because vagueness is how dogs get let down.
This is educational training guidance, not veterinary advice. If your dog's behaviour changes suddenly, or you suspect pain, illness or distress, speak to your vet first — pain is a common and badly underestimated driver of behaviour change. Results vary from dog to dog and no particular outcome is promised.
Questions, answered honestly
Do I need to be in Larne to use this?+
No. The Blueprint is a home system, so it works wherever you are. If you are in Larne or the surrounding areas, Part 9 also points you to a free consultation — but nothing in the twenty-one days depends on us.
My dog is old / a puppy / a rescue. Will it still work?+
Yes. The plan is a sequence, not a stopwatch. A nervous or elderly dog goes slower and that is fine; a young confident dog may fly through week one. Puppies need considerably more sleep, and the Guide covers that directly.
How much time does it actually take?+
About twenty minutes a day, and most of that is in four-second pieces — dropping a bit of food beside a dog who has settled by themselves. The single biggest change costs you nothing but consistency.
Is this just the same as an obedience course?+
No. Obedience teaches a dog what to do on cue. This teaches a dog how to come down from excitement without help, which is the part almost nobody teaches and the thing that actually makes a dog easier to live with.
What if my dog is reactive?+
Part 4 covers working under threshold and Part 6 covers early reactivity honestly. But if your dog is regularly lunging, barking, or unable to eat or hear you around triggers, that needs a behaviour specialist rather than a PDF — and the Guide says so plainly.
I am already a weekly plan client. Do I need to buy it?+
No. It is included with your plan at no charge — just ask your walker or get in touch and we will send it over.
What if I buy this and then sign up for walks?+
Then you won't pay twice. The Calm Dog Blueprint™ is included free with our weekly walking plans — so if you buy it on its own and later join a plan within 12 months, we'll credit what you paid against your first invoice. Just mention it when you book your consultation.
Can I print it?+
Please do. The Workbook and the Calm Tracker are designed to be printed and written on, and owners who print them get considerably further than owners who do not.
Three weeks. Then read back what you wrote on day one.
The dogs we watch come alive aren't the ones with clever owners or easy temperaments. They're the ones whose owners protected the sleep, slowed the walks down, and paid the quiet moments nobody else noticed.
